I have been a CrossFitter since April 2012 and once I started I never looked back. I was a high school athlete playing Football, Basketball, and Baseball and had a couple scholarship interests for football. My junior year I broke 2 vertebrae in my back and had 3 bulging and ruptured discs. I was told that I should never squat or deadlift again. I didn’t do anything except for upper body lifting through college and into the start of my career. My back kept deteriorating and I started to be in constant pain. I tried everything and nothing would work. I talked to a buddy who thought I would like CrossFit so I went. I couldn’t do 2 pullups and I had never squatted below parallel. The very fist day I told my coach I would be competing and he laughed. 1 year later I was competing at the North Central Regionals and my back is better than it has ever been before. I am the strongest and fittest I have ever been in my life. I love the community of CrossFit and I love helping people get better. My favorite part of CrossFit is Olympic lifting form and gymnastic movements.
